Here at Ovation Theatre Club, we offer weekly speech and drama lessons for individuals or in small groups of 2–4, with a specialist teacher. The children can work towards a LAMDA examination and/or prepare and rehearse poems, monologues and duologues to compete in the Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts.
LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) is one of the oldest drama schools in the world. They offer young people the opportunity to take external graded examinations in communication and performance skills. These exams help children achieve a sense of accomplishment, improve self-confidence and develop strong social skills.
The Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts is Cheltenham’s oldest festival and is held in May each year. It offers over 300 classes across three categories: Music, Dance and Drama, and is open to participants of all ages. Children who have lessons with Ovation Theatre Club will compete in the drama classes.
